Voke Nicotine Inhaler

The authorisation for our first licensed product was granted by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) on 11 September 2014. The product, Voke, was developed by Kind Consumer, a healthcare research and development company focused on inhalation technologies.  Voke is a nicotine inhaler for smokers who want to reduce, replace or stop smoking .[1]

A variation to the Voke licence was required to support full commercialisation and we are pleased that this has now been granted. The work towards launch continues but we cannot give any indication on timing at this point.

Voke involves no heat or combustion, and so produces no ash or smoke. It also requires no battery or other energy source, it is activated simply by the user inhaling.

Voke is not yet available to buy.

A licence has also been granted for a rechargeable e-cigarette, e-Voke. e-Voke uses cartridges containing pharmaceutical grade nicotine.  A review will be undertaken shortly of its commercialisation and the consumer resonance of e-Voke.[1]

[1] Voke contains nicotine and can be used to reduce, replace or stop smoking. Requires willpower. Always read the leaflet.
